About

Harvest Within Coaching supports individuals, teams, and organizations in co-creating sustainable transformation in ways that hold space for curiosity and the messiness of being human.

Cassie Whitebread

(SHE/HER)

Hi, I’m Cassie, and I run Harvest Within Coaching. I’m a queer, second generation mixed-raced Chinese American unicorn who often doesn’t fit neatly into the racial categories our society attempts to place us in. Over the years, I’ve learned (and relearned) that we all hold multitudes. We are far more than the tidy boxes we’re told to fit inside. I’ve found deep joy in exploring the layers of who I am and reimagining myself beyond the limits of those boxes, and I love supporting my clients in doing the same.

I’ve worn a number of hats in my journey so far—I’ve been a middle school science teacher who navigated teaching two grade levels simultaneously and an afterschool running club, a program manager for a nonprofit centered on food justice, and an education director who created programming and curricula for nonprofits to create liberatory spaces for their staff.

  • Certified coach through Wholehearted Coaching (a decolonized approach to heart-centered coaching)

  • Embodied Conflict Resolution certification from The Embody Lab

  • Creative Facilitation certification from Partners for Youth Empowerment

  • Master’s in Education from the University of Pennsylvania

it’s okay not to have it all figured out

I never quite felt that my path had a clear direction. I’m the type of person who has a lot of interests and values being a lifelong learner. An obvious through-line in my many roles has been creating spaces where people can connect, feel a sense of belonging, and learn from one another (and themselves).

I used to think I needed a clear five-year plan, but honestly, life happens, interests change, and that’s not a flaw—it’s growth. Every hat I’ve worn has been a reflection of what I was curious about and what I cared about most at the time. I’ve learned that what matters isn’t having it all mapped out—it’s making sure that what you’re doing lines up with your own values and feels true to who you are right now.

These days, I bring that same “it’s okay not to have it all figured out” energy into my work with others. Growth doesn’t have to be heavy—it can be curious, honest, and joyful.

I’m committed to creating a space where you feel like you’re dishing tea with your best friend, able to be open and honest without fear of judgment. My approach to coaching is built on cultivating trust, unearthing what’s really at the core of a challenge, and co-creating sustainable, intentional next steps. I balance connecting the mind and body with supporting clients to stretch their growth edges. I’m all about channeling that same curiosity and love of connection with the goal of building spaces where people can grow and discover new ways of being. I hold close Grace Lee Boggs’ wisdom: “Transform yourself to transform the world.” For me, transformation begins within and extends outward into our communities.

At the heart of it all, I believe that change starts with slowing down enough to listen, really listen, to ourselves and to one another. My work is an invitation to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the parts of you that already know the way forward. Together, we can create the conditions for you to step into your next chapter with more clarity, courage, and ease.
